I still see them flying around the old nest now and then. I managed to take some photos of them, resting on a power line with a mouthful of mud. Hum. Still trying to repair the old nest? I found out on the net that it is illegal to remove a nest if eggs or chicks are in it. Ok, go, little swallows!
I noticed that this one looks a little different from swallows I know with this close-up shot. After a little search, I found that this one is called a red-rumped swallow. I only knew the one with red throat and white belly, so I was a little surprised to see this type. The color is not as eye-catching as the other one, but its nimble flight is indeed the swallow's signature move.
I would like to encourage them, but I should watch out on the hygene side. Must be through with cleaning and disposal.

One more thing I noticed was that there were three of them flying together. I heard a couple might have a helper occasionally. This might be the case. In any case, I hope they will succeed in making a good nest and have a fine group of chicks soon.
