Making clay jizo. Jizo is the Buddha in the form of an acetic monk form,
the guardian of children, and you see stone statues by the street all over Japan.
粘土をぎゅっと握って体の形を作った後、顔を書き入れました。
We squeezed a lump of clay to shape the body then worked on the face.
それぞれの個性がにじみ出るお地蔵さん。
Personalized statue for each of us.
再び猫天国へ。
To the cat heaven, once more.

お昼は海を見下ろすカフェにて。
Lunch at a cafe, looking down the ocean.
お寺で祭りの練習をしていたので、太鼓を叩かせてもらいました。
We came across a festival practice run at a shrine,
and kids took turns in trying Japanese drumming.
