オホーツク海の流氷とお別れ。
Farewell, drift ice and Sea of Okhotsk.
道央はまだ雪深し。
The central Hokkaido was still deep in snow.
7時間のバス旅の末、雨の札幌到着。
After 7-hour bus ride, arrived in rainy Sapporo.
The first night in Sapporo. The tv tower with the full moon.
札幌カクテルタイム。北国の少々変わった正統派バー、
BARやまざきにて。若いバーテンダーが出してくれたのが
ヨーグルトリキュール・ミントリキュール・ミルクのカクテル。
疲れが取れ、胃に優しいとか。アルコールがどの程度優しいのかは
わかりませんが、ヨーグルトとミントの相性がぴったりの清々しい
一杯。艶やかな木のカウンターに肘を立て、隣の会社員さんたちの
会話を聞くともなしに聞き、バーテンダーさんたちがシェーカーを
振るのをぼんやり眺め…… 南下旅の滑り出しは順調。
Sapporo cocktail time. So called the traditional yet not-so-ordinary
bar in the north, BAR YAMAZAKI. The young bartender mixed me a glass
of yoghurt liqueur, mint liqueur, and milk. He told me it is rejuvenating and
gentle on the stomach. Not sure how gentle this alcoholic drink was, but it
was refreshing, mint and yoghurt were a great match. Elbows on a lustrous
wooden counter, ears overhearing businessmen talking, and eyes watching
bartenders mixing drinks… Great start of my southbound journey.
