今日は休暇の二日目。日本での運転デビューを
果たしました。無事帰って来れてホッとしてます。
The second day off, and I drove in Japan for the first time. I managed
to come back in one piece, both me and the car. What a relief!

八丈植物公園。 Hachijoshokubutsu Park (Hachijo Botanical Garden).

Introduced species, Reeves's muntjacs in a cage. 檻の中には外来種きょん。
大型犬ほどの大きさでした。 About the same size as a big dog.

植物公園内の展望台より。 There is an observation deck in the park.
展望台への道は森のトンネル。 Tree tunnels to and from the observation deck.
島の北側、底度海水浴場。珊瑚と海亀が見られるとか。
Sokodo Beach, on the north side of the island.
The rumor has that you can see sea turtles and corals!
Then the south side of the island. Just missed the sunset time...
そして南側。日没に間に合いませんでした、 orz.
Nanbara Senjojiki Beach.
Mt. Hachijo Fuji has been dormant since 1605. Repeated eruptions
before that created these lava layers on the shore.
