台風の影響で
Due to two typhoons south of Japan,

Sokodo Beach had a yellow flag (swim with caution) this morning.
いつものサンゴ礁スポットに向かう途中、「うねりがありますので
沖に出ないでください」とスピーカーから注意されてしまいました。
On the way to my usual spot in the coral area, I got a warning, loud and
clear on a speaker from the watchman’s stand. “Do not swim too far.
We have big swells today.”
なんとかサンゴ礁の端っこまではいけました。
Got to the edge of coral area.

午後は森林ウォークで
In the afternoon, a walk in the woods took me to
唐滝まで。
Kara Fall.
滝壺にはイモリがいっぱい。蛇行水泳。水掻きがないようで。
The waterfall basin was full of newts, swimming like snakes.
They don’t have webs between the fingers.
こちらの浅瀬では食事中。
In the shallow, meal time.
陸では結構早く動けます。
They can move faster on land.
草の陰で隠れたつもり。
Under a plant, hoping to conceal itself.
シオカラトンボもたくさん。
Many dragonflies (Orthetrum albistylum)
不思議な色をした硫黄沼。
Iou (Sulfur) Pond has a mysterious color.
Another dragonfly, resting after patrolling its territory.
帰り道の椰子並木
The road on the way back was lined with palm trees,
と小さな竹林。
and bamboos.
