日本も結構好きなのですが、根っこがこっちに深いです。

(元)台風一過:Post-Typhoon

台風は勢いを失い、熱帯低気圧となって北海道東沖をかすめました。

しかし、風は勢いよく、防波堤を飛びこす元気な波を次々と送り続けました。

The typhoon lost its intensity. It turned into an extratropical storm, when it went

past offshore of the Hokkaido eastern area. Still, the powerful winds sent

vigorous waves over the breakwater again and again.

♫我は海鳥、白波の騒ぐ台風なんのその〜♫ 救命胴衣は不要です。

♫We are the birds of the sea, typhoons, winds, and waves, no big deal♫

Seagulls had no need for life jackets.

とりあえず半数は。

Well, at least half of them.

風が収まった翌日はそれとばかりに羽を伸ばし

(黒い点々は虫ではありません。カモメです。念のため)

The wind died down the next day, and seagulls took to the sky in no time.

(All black specks are seagulls, not bugs, in case you're wondering.)
